Rozette Barend was the youngest child of Salomon Barend and Lena IJzerkoper. She married 17 February 1937 in Amsterdam at the age of 26 the 28-year old Levie (Louis) Scheffer, a son of Manuel Scheffer and Keetje Moscoviter. On 5 May 1938 their baby-daughter Keetje was born.
