Louis Schelvis wrote several letters to his parents in Amsterdam, first from Buchenwald, and later from Mauthausen. The letters are preserved.

The first page of each file is an envelope created by the ITS, This envelope contains personal data on the individual and a listing of the document types contained in the file. It can also include an ITS inquiry file number (T/D-number).

Please note that while the majority of the material in the files comprises original documentation from the period of this camp's existence as a Nazi persecution site, the compilation of the files was carried out by the ITS from various sources it holds.
