Israel van Zuiden and his family

Israël van Zuiden was married. He was a shopkeeper selling ladies clothes with a business on the Varkensmarkt. He was arrested for wanting to remove the swastika from his shop door and he was sent to Amersfoort camp. After six weeks he was released in poor health, but after some time he was picked up again and returned to Amersfoort camp. He was killed there on 15 May 1942. Jules Frank, chairman o…

About Marchien Khan

Margriet Khan married the merchant Salomon Jacob van Zuiden on April 19, 1884. They had three sons, Israel (1886-1942), Jacob (1885-1943), and Joseph (1888-1894). Salomon van Zuiden died in 1888. His widow Marchien Khan remarried on June 22, 1892 with Levie ten Brink, a merchant.
