Alexander Ladendorff was married to Margaretha Wolffheim. The couple registered in the town of Alphen aan den Rijn at 7 Hoorn on 23 October 1940. On 16 September 1941 they moved to the house at 5 Dr. Lovinklaan. On 4 May 1942 this house was confiscated by the Leiden Ortskommandantur for use as an officer's residence. In onderstaand boek vertellen twee Alphenaren over hun herinneringen aan het echtpaar Ladendorff-Wolffheim. Een buurmeisje dat naast hen woonde aan de Buitenweg (nu Prins Bernhardlaan) en de zoon van een kennis van mevrouw Ladendorff, waar ze een doos schoenen in bewaring gaf voordat ze werd gedeporteerd.
