Louis Wolff

Louis Wolff, son of Julius Wolff en Betsy Wolff-Gersons, studied medicine in Utrecht, where he completed his studies in 1940. In Groningen, he was given the post of assistant. Louis Wolff had heart problems. After the Nazi invasion, he rode from Groningen to Amsterdam on his motorbike on 11 May 1940. He died that night, probably due to exhaustion.

Julius Wolff was a son of Levie Wolff, butcher and cattle merchant, and Ida Jacobsohn. On 9 August 1911 in Tilburg, he married Betsy Gersons, daughter of Levie Gersons, merchant in rags, and Leentje de Jonge. The couple had three children, including sons Louis and Ernst. The latter played violin.
