About Grietje Abram-Scheffer

Grietje Scheffer was placed in the Jewish girls' orphanage in the Rapenburgerstraat 171 in Amsterdam after her father’s death in 1930. When she was 18 years old, she leaved the orphanage to help her mother at home. She got married on 24 July 1942 in Amsterdam to Barend Abram, son of Simon Abram and Elisabeth van West.
