Andries van Stratum

Andries van Stratum was a son of Lion van Stratum and Alida Pijl. He was born in Amsterdam on 7 September 1884 and earned his money being a cigar maker. On 3 June 1909 he married Marianne Vos in Amsterdam, a daughter of Hijman Vos and Lea van West, who was born there on 18 October 1885. The couple Van Stratum-Vos had one son, Lion, who was born on 23 September 1912 in Amsterdam.

The 23rd convoy is a Jewish transport and consist of 662 persons, including 62 children. 5 prisoners managed to escape before the border, one of them has been shot down on the spot.
