Maurits Minco

Maurits Minco was a son of Manus Minco and Sibille Hedeman. He married Sophia Nathans on 28 July 1920 in Groningen, a daughter of Simon Nathans and Betje de Jong. The couple had six children: twins Simon Nathan and Salomon Elias, twins Estella Rosetta and Nico and two more children.

The mayor of Almelo requested that Sophia Minco-Nathans and Estella Rosetta Minco, residing at 156 Grotestraat in Almelo, be located, detained and brought to trial. They had left their place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.

Op Joodsmonument staat als familienaam Minco vermeld (achternaam van vader van Maurits), hetwelk bij de opgave van zijn geboorte bij de burgerlijke stand Menco is geworden.
