Biography

The fate of Henriette Salomons.

Henriette Salomons was born on 17 January  1906 in Hilversum as the daughter of Meijer Salomons and Bloeme de Paauw. She was the 12th of a total of 13 children in that family. She was born in Hilversum and came to Amsterdam with her family on 7  March 1906,  just 2 months old.

In addition, a Jokos file (number 3216) on this family is at the Amsterdam Municipal Archive. Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 10453/8741).

Sunday 20 June 1943, "Grossaktion" (Raid)

Sunday 20 June 1943: in the southern and eastern part of Amsterdam a big raid has taken place on the last remaining Jews in the city. Germans as well as the Amsterdam police blocked all streets, went into houses to bring the Jews to the gathering places.
