Sylvain Hekster

Sylvain Hekster was a son from Louis Sacksioni's wife, from her first marriage. He had a sister Carry Hekster who lived with their grandparents. The mother of Sylvian and Carry survived the war.

Sylvain Hekster was een zoon van Louis Hekster en Rachel Levee. Na de scheiding van zijn ouders kwam hij op 21-12-1937 in het Joodse Weeshuis in Leiden terecht, waar hij tot 15-02-1940 bleef wonen. Daarna ging hij naar de Justus van Effenstraat 23 in Utrecht. Toen hij opgepakt werd met zijn vader, die inmiddels was hertrouwd met Eva Groen, woonden ze in Amsterdam aan de Wetstraat 24.

Louis Sacksioni was married. His wife had two children from a previous marriage: Sylvian and Carry Hekster. From the second marriage another child was born. This child survived the war, as did his mother.
